Yes, I found mundane items like staples, staplers, fabric, sewing notions, clipboards, etc. However, these old wooden hangers from small Pacific Northwest towns are my best find. Lakeview. The Dalles. Toledo. LaGrande. Lewiston. Phone numbers are three digits. Phone 104. Much more fun than plastic hangers.

ReplyDeleteYup, getting rid of a bunch of crap plastic hangers and using these old wooden ones. I have been being pretty deliberate about not bringing plastic into the house. Recycling it is so difficult out here. At least wood at the end of a useful life can be burned to provide heat, and metal is easier to use in some creative way. Recycling it is much easier than recycling plastic.
